Optilia at International SSc Symposium Berlin, 18-19 September

Optilia will display their latest Digital Capillaroscopy Systems International SSc Symposium at Berlin with a special focus on the current diagnostic, preventive and therapeutic measures for digital ulcers, that occur as a complication associated with systemic sclerosis vasculopathies.

Systemic sclerosis (SSc) is a systemic connective tissue disease, characterised by essential vasomotor disturbances that cause fibrosis. This results in subsequent atrophy of the skin, subcutaneous tissue, muscles, and internal organs (eg, alimentary tract, lungs, heart, kidney) and is accompanied by immunologic disturbances.

Capillaroscopy is becomming widely recognised as an important method for achieving early diagnosis which is of utmost importance for the treatment and monitoring of SSc patients. Therefore Optilia expects a lot of interest for their OptiPix Capillaroscopy software, designed to make nailfold capillary examination using the Optilia Mediscope, efficient and consistent. The software provides many tools for analysis that make patient reporting and follow-up easy and reliable.
