Optilia at International SSc Symposium Berlin, 18-19 September

Systemic sclerosis (SSc) is a systemic connective tissue disease, characterised by essential vasomotor disturbances that cause fibrosis. This results in subsequent atrophy of the skin, subcutaneous tissue, muscles, and internal organs (eg, alimentary tract, lungs, heart, kidney) and is accompanied by immunologic disturbances.

Capillaroscopy is becomming widely recognised as an important method for achieving early diagnosis which is of utmost importance for the treatment and monitoring of SSc patients.
